DID GEORGE W BUSH DESTROY AL GORES MARRIAGE
69THE DEMS HAVE ANOTHER SCANDAL AND THIS TIME IT'S EVERYONES DAMN FAULT!
THE BUCK STARTS HERE!
Before I begin I would like to say that marriage is an institution that I respect and I hate to see a couple get divorced. Yes most people can get through a divorce and be happy again, but when I hear a man and woman has lost their old spark and or grow appart I can't help but feel bad for them. This happened in the home that I grew up in and having been divorced myself several years ago the topic of marrital breakdown is very near and dear to me. I thought that sharing this with you first was crucial, because I don't wish this to happen to the Gore family or anybody else. Of course you can come out the other side of a divorce stronger and learn a lot of things you didn't know before, but it's really not worth it unless there are serious problems. (And I mean everything that I just said.)
NOW LETS PASS IT AROUND!
It all started when Al Gore said to himself, "I haven't ran for President in years, and Bill can't run for a third term, so I guess that me being Vice President and all could run for the PRESIDENCY." This reasoning was not really all that goofy, but when you consider Al's lack of charisma and charm you would think that the Democrat Party would have urged him to not run. Surprisingly Gore was narrowly defeated by George W. Bush. Most people that I knew thought Bush was more appealing, on tarrget with his message, and even my Mom and Dad (who have not been together for 20 years) who either voted for Democrats or didn't vote at all voted for Bush in 2000 and again in 2004! I also had some next door neighbors who voted for Bush who were staunch Democrats for years, so I didn't believe that it was going to be close at all. We all know the outcome, Bush won by a very slim margin and served two terms.
This political set-back did something to Al Gore... Something negative physiologically. After losing, Gore eventualy conceded the election and showed up at Bush's Inauguration obveously uncomfortable (totaly understandable) and afterward dropped of the face of the earth. When he was in the news again he had gained a lot of weight, grew a beard (which was way out of character for him), and took a teaching job. Lets face it: That teaching job made the most sense because Al Gore doesn't seem to have the sort of 'hands on' aura that most desirable presidential candidates have. It was quite evident that Gore was really bewildered and did not accept losing the 2000 Presidential Election.
GORE'S FAILURE TO ACCEPT THE RESULTS ALLOWED BUSH TO GET INTO HIS HEAD! Albert Gore Jr. was screwed from that point on. He met life coach Tony Robbins at one of Tony's semenars, where Al jokingly blamed the U.S. Supreme Court when Robbins asked his audience what was holding them back. Even if this was planned ahead of time, I thought the joke was in good taste and for the first time I thought Al Gore was genuinely funny. From then on it was all down hill for Albert Gore Jr. He made a successful documentary that isn't even talked about anymore (an inconvenient truth for him), predicted that we had only ten years to save the earth (we only have five now ...LOL), and bitched and complained about the guy who drove him out of politics and out of his mind.... THE 43rd PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES GEORGE W. BUSH
Oh did I mention that Al Gore won a Nobel Peace Prize? I think I'll also mention that radio talk show host, Rush H. Limbaugh, was nominated for that very Nobel Prize too. Personally I would have given it to the Holocaust Survivor, David Weiss, who had been through two world wars and died in a fire at 100 years old that I thought was more deserving, but that's just me. Al also wrote some worthless books mostly dealing with environment where he over reacts to the earth warming up, but doesn't discuss the cooling down, the possibility of solar climate change, or anything that really even matters in the first place. He is like a boring Nixon without the comeback. I respect him becaused he at least had the toughness to go through bootcamp and on to Vietnam, but as far as I am concerned his next best public contribution was that damn joke that he made that made me laugh.
The tragetty in all this is that Al Gore allowed his ego depletion effect his marriage to the point that he is in jeopardy of losing that too. I do not know if Al cheated on his wife, but I do think that if ithere is any truth to that story then it can only be because, he was trying to make himself feel good since he suffered soo much from the mental beating that he couldn't help but replay in his mind over and over again since 2000. Gore began attending all these bullshit Global Warming gatherings, which are based on a lie because we can not stop Global Climate Change. In any case maybe Al traveling without his wife was not such a good idea if he in fact was feeling defeated. The reality is that Gore probably didn't lose an election until 2000 and wanted to be a life-long politician like his father. In many ways I have empathy for Gore, because cold weather conditions forced some Global Warming confrences to cancel (now thats funny). I sincerely hope that the Gores' stay together and do so happily as the Edwards' too, but I also hope that the allagations about Al are false. That sort of thing causes an insurmountable amount of damage to a spouses confidence and once trust is gone the result is unfortunately and inevitably divorce. I don't assume the worst about Al Gore; But I do think that it would be a classy gesture for George W. Bush to have Al over for coffee and try to be a friend to him. It would be harder for Gore to say yes than for the invitation to be offered, but I would like to see that happen.
Originally I began this hub thinking that it would be cocky, hilarious, and sort of poke fun of Gore but in the end I guess that I am really sensitive about the fact that 40 years of marriage could go down the pipe because of a stupid election. I just hope they get the break that they need and hopefully the Gores' and Edwards' can renew their vows and stay happily married.

GWO who cares about Al Gore? We're touched and all about keeping folks together, but I don't think most people took Gore seriously when he ran in 2000.

BIGG SMOKE ELGUAPO
Steven I must say that you must love tearing into democrats. I am a democrat by nature, although I will admit that I voted for Obama partly because he came out of Chicago so I felt I should support the guy. I guess that I sort of agree with you on Al Gore, it seemed to me that his life spiraled out of control after he lost. The new found success that he has had over the last decade didn't deter him from losing a little of his sanity. I mean this guy really hates George W Bush and you can tell by the way that he just screamed at the top of his lungs you know bitching about the guy at a conference that he was at that made the news. I can also tell that you have a heart and a conscience with this whole divorce thing to.
Take Care- Bill
Great point of view Steve, I always wondered the same thing and this separation business really caught me off guard. Though I will admitt that the Edwards problems did not shock me at all.
well done, you are correct again. Thanks.

It is probably true to say that life is incomplete without a life partner and further life is partly unsatisfactory without a life companion, the fact of life might be in passing an ordinary life or a presidential life of any nation. Al Gore was not an exception.
